The Lighthouse Youth Center provides many
programs at no cost to youth ages 9-18 years old.
Due to COVID-19 we have had to adjust our programs. Here are a few ways we are still able to connect with our youth and meet their needs:
Homework Help: Mondays - Thursdays youth can come to the Lighthouse to receive help on their school assignments
Friday Youth Programs: Providing a safe space where kids can have fun while still social distancing
Take-Home Meals: When youth come to our weekly programs they are all provided with a take-home dinner.
Food Deliveries: The Lighthouse is continuing to meet the needs of food insecurity through weekly deliveries of food bags to families in need.
Outreach: The Lighthouse staff continues to go out into the community to connect with youth. This is our way of showing that we love them and care for them even when the Lighthouse program looks a lot different these days.
The Lighthouse provides many recreational opportunities for youth after school and during the summer. Our facility has a full court gym, a half court gym, recreational games, and outdoor playing areas.
Our goal is to provide a safe place where the youth of Oxford, PA can go.
Some of our daily activities are:
Sports (Basketball, Soccer, Football)
Arts & Crafts
We understand how important it is to see youth succeed and get to the next level. We provide opportunities for youth in the following programs:
Mondays - Thursdays from
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday Bible Study
The Lighthouse youth can satisfy their afternoon hunger every day with a free nutritious snack from 2:30 p.m. until
Our 5:00 p.m. supper meal is prepared by our Lighthouse staff and volunteers. The meals are prepared in our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and served in our cafeteria.
Growing in Faith:
Each night at the Lighthouse, a motivational speaker shares before our daily meal. We believe a relationship with God is an important part of life.
